Bangladesh Journal of Pharmacology (Bangladesh J Pharmacol) is the peer-reviewed, open access official publication of the Bangladesh Pharmacological Society (BDPS). The printed version is published twice in a year (June and December). The journal seeks to promote research, exchange of scientific information, consideration of regulatory mechanisms that affect drug development and utilization, and medical education. We publish research article, mini review and letter to the editor. There is no page charge. You own the copyright to your article and obtain more citations. All potential readers can read, download and/or print open access articles at no cost which has more advantage than the traditional subscription journal. FOR PAPERS Scientific Session of
Bangladesh Pharmacological
Society The Bangladesh Pharmacological Society invites papers on original and unpublished research in all area of pharmacology including rational use of drugs and medical education for the Scientific Session to be held in the abovementioned schedule. Papers will generally be presented as 15-minute talks and a question answer session. You are invited to submit abstract which should include a title, the author(s) name, institutional affiliation and e-mail address to the conference coordinator before 15 February, 2010. Papers are expected to be of high quality and follow the time limitations. We look forward to receiving your abstract. Acceptance of papers will be notified on 18 February, 2010. Registration fee for the foreigners: US$ 50 Only a limited number of foreign participants will be exempted registration fee and/or offered local hospitality (airport transfer, accommodation and food). You may apply for those facilities.

Society News June 14-17, 2009 Bangladesh Pharmacological Society organized a workshop on "Pharmacology in the undergraduate medical curriculum, 2002: Review and update" at Ibrahim Medical College, Shahbag, Dhaka.
A condolence meeting was jointly organized by Bangladesh Physiological and Pharmacological Society and Bangladesh Pharmacological Society on 15th March, 2009 in the Ibrahim Medical College, Shahbag, Dhaka. The members of the societies deeply mourns on the sad demise of Brig Gen (Dr.) Md. Zakir Hossain, Director (Hospitals), Bangladesh Rifles and other physicians, who were killed on the brutal incidence in the BDR headquarter at Pilkhana.
